and let my jacket gather weight
my eyes are cold with wind and salt
my lashes gather silted drops
it is like looking through
a message filled bottle"

CUIRASSIEUR - A Sci-Fi Novella
Beau Kelly hasn't seen his brother in years. Maxim Cho is so close to winning the global Magna Grand Prix. The Union overtakes the continents and tears down everything these two lived for. It comes for them.
"The Magna-bike was a monstrosity of electro-magnetic drive, with wheels that weighed hundreds of pounds, and engines that contorted through the shell, barely fitting a human form between layers and layers of aluminum plating. The bikes themselves did not roar with thunder - they screamed, but the tires at each drift made a deep shearing noise, stretched out, like the tail end of a sonic boom. The heavy noise echoed with each drift, and so alternated the bellow of the tires, then the banshee of the engines, to create a siren’s song, enslaving the hearts of men who felt that loud death was their calling... There was no greater race on Earth."
